The Abbott & Fenner Scholarships are available to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post-secondary institution. Students will submit an essay on the topic that appears on the scholarship page of their website.

Aero Club of New England

 

The Aero Club of New England’s scholarship program encourages and helps support careers in aviation. Scholarships are awarded annually to U.S. citizens and permanent residents, who live within the six New England states. Recipients are selected on the basis of merit and need. Our scholarships have expanded in scope to include students in pilot training, aircraft maintenance, and aviation management. American Legion (Sons of)

 

This scholarship is awarded by the Sons of the Nantucket American Legion Scholarship Fund to provide educational opportunities to benefit graduates of Nantucket High School who are pursuing higher education at a certified college, university, vocational or technical school. Artists Assoc. Rebecca Westcott Scholarship

 

This $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving Nantucket High School senior or alumni studying art in college in memory of Rebecca Houser Westcott by her family and friends. This is a talent/desire-based scholarship. See application for more information.

Baxter Waldman Memorial Scholarship

 

The Baxter Waldman Memorial Scholarship is aimed to assist graduating seniors whose primary residence is Nantucket and who is involved in their school and community. The type and amount of aid awarded shall be at the discretion of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation and may include, but is not limited to, $2000 per year. Be Baxter Strong. Cape Area Pilots Association

 

The Cape Area Pilots Association, Inc. offers several scholarship each year up to $5000. These scholarships are for students seeking aviation careers enrolling in higher education institutions specializing in aviation learning. Applications are now entirely online! Cape Cod Association Scholarship

 

The Cape Cod Association offers scholarships to students who were born on and currently reside on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, or Nantucket who are pursuing an undergraduate education. Applicants must be graduating high school OR a past recipient of a CCA scholarship. Past recipients deadline: 3/15/2026. High School Seniors deadline: 4/1/2026. Coffin School Trustees Scholarships

 

The Coffin School Trustees Scholarships will be awarded to graduates of Nantucket High School (four years at this high school), who have successfully completed at least one year of college or advanced studies. See application for more information.

David Feindel Knights of Columbus Scholarship

 

Knights of Columbus will award renewable scholarships to current seniors or to former graduates from Nantucket High School. To be eligible for this scholarship a students must be a practicing Catholic with regular attendance at St. Mary's Church with evidence of parish and community service academic standing, moral character, responsibility, financial need, and extracurricular activities. Dorothy Harrison Egan Found. Scholarship

 

Recipients must be pursuing a course of study relating to health and/or health care (such as biology) at an accredited college, medical school or other educational institution. Preference will be given to residents of Nantucket, but scholarships are not limited to such residents and all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply. See application for more information.

Great Harbor Yacht Club Foundation Harbor Health Scholarship

 

This scholarship supports a Nantucket High School senior or alumnus pursuing a future in marine science or a harbor-related trade, with demonstrated commitment to the marine environment. Reflecting GHYCF’s mission to protect Nantucket Harbor, it considers both academic and vocational pathways, with financial need as one factor in the selection process. Hagan Scholarship Foundation

 

Eligible to all graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled college students, the Hagan Scholarship Foundation provides up to $7,500 each semester for 8 consecutive semesters for qualifying candidates. Must hold a 3.5 gpa and be enrolled in a 4-year college or university. For more eligibility requirements and to apply please see the attached link.

Henry W. Fee, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

 

This fund is for friendly, hardworking, entrepreneurial NHS seniors or alumni who strive to be active members of the workforce or play important roles in small businesses on Nantucket. Its hope is to encourage the next generation to smile, work hard, and help others, making the entire island better through their efforts. Like Henry did. Jack Pignato Memorial Scholarship

 

The purpose of the fund shall be to provide scholarships to graduates of Nantucket High School who are furthering their education in the fields of math or science. The students eligible for assistance are deserving graduates of NHS who are or will be majoring in mathematics or science, and who are looking to a career in education or medicine. Jaeger Family NiSHA Scholarship

 

The purpose of the fund shall be to provide scholarships to students or community members interested in pursuing studies or training in an animal related field. The type and amount of aid is at the discretion of the Community Foundation Board and may include but not limited to $2500 per year to the awardee's institution of choice. James Lentowski Scholarship

 

Executive Director of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation, Jim Lentowski, devoted part of his life to preserving land on Nantucket. An annual $1000 scholarship was created to award two Nantucket-based students who are interested in pursuing the study of conservation, ecology, and related fields. Jamie Topham Scholarship

 

Once annually, a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be paid directly to the academic institution attended by the recipient. The Jamie Topham Scholarship will be awarded to a current an/or former Nantucket High School Student(s) pursuing a career in fire science, medical science (nurse, doctor, therapist, etc), or criminal justice field OR if a student is deemed deserving by the scholarship committee. J. L. & Donna M. Fox Scholarship

 

Through this scholarship we intend to provide tuition support to recent graduates of Nantucket High School who have demonstrated a strong commitment to serving their community. Undergraduate students only with demonstrated financial need; open to all degrees and fields of study, enrolled in an institute of higher learning (vocational or trade school, four-year university, or college, etc.) with above-average community service hours. The Last Minute Productions Scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior or former graduate of Nantucket High School in the amount of $1000. Maddequet Admiralty Association

 

The Maddequet Admiralty Association has established a Walter Gilman Page Scholarship for Nantucket students interested in pursuing a career in maritime studies, i.e. maritime-related or (other) trade school, oceanography, environmental science, or any B.A. or B.S. degree. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is a Massachusetts resident and with a declared major in a broadcast-related field, and be enrolled or plan to enroll at an accredited two or four-year school. Nantucket Anglers' Club: Lema-Machado

 

The Nantucket Anglers' Club Lema-Machado Fund offers scholarships to seniors and alumni who are pursuing a marine science and/or a conservation course of study. In the absence of eligible candidates, the Committee may select any applicant whom they deem worthy. Nantucket Conservation Foundation annually presents deserving Nantucket students the George A. Fowlkes Environmental Studies Scholarship. To be eligible for this award, the student must be furthering their education in the study of the natural environment, ecology, biology or natural sciences. The Nantucket Garden Club will award scholarships totaling $20,000.00 annually, to Nantucket High School Graduates and alumni whose educational pursuits reflect their personal commitment to our community while pursuing an education with a major concentration in Ecology, Horticulture, Landscape Design, Environmental Studies, Preservation or Botany. The Nantucket Police Charitable Association will award scholarships to several graduating seniors and alumni who demonstrate high character and have shown academic success. While the NPCA seeks to award a student who is studying criminal justice, it also seeks those with financial need for college expenses. See application for more information.

Nantucket Shellfish Association Scholarship

 

The NSA is pleased to announce the availability of student
scholarships for seniors and graduates of Nantucket High School with a grade point average of
3.0 or better and have declared (or intend to declare) a major in some aspect of marine science,
shellfish, and / or harbor health. The intention is to award student scholarship(s) up to $10,000,
renewable for up to three years contingent upon the maintenance of an acceptable GPA. The

The Beinecke Scholarship Fund at Nantucket Cottage Hospital helps students to finance their studies in medical and health care related educational and training programs. The fund benefits residents of Nantucket and employees of Nantucket Cottage Hospital, according to guidelines and requirements provided in the application form.

Northeast Maritime Institute Scholarship

 

The NMI Foundation was created to support students with an interest in a career in the maritime industry. The scholarship has a value of $11,000 annually for a maximum of two years to be applied towards the Northeast Maritime Institute Associate in the Applied Nautical Science degree program at the Northeast Maritime Institute. NPT: M. and M. Fabacher Scholarship

 

The Nantucket Preservation Trust's Mary Helen and Michael Fabacher Scholarship offers students the opportunity to further building skills through the study of preservation carpentry or other building crafts. The goal is to encourage and promote traditional building methods essential for the preservation of Nantucket's historic architecture. Please see NPT's scholarship page for more information.

Sally Roberts Mentor Scholarship

 

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funding to a graduating senior from Nantucket High School who has taken part in Mentoring opportunities on Nantucket and also plans to pursue a career enriching the lives of children (education, social work, etc.) A scholarship of $1,000 per year, for a period not to exceed 4 years, will be received providing a GPA of 3.5 or higher is maintained. Shredder's Studio Art Scholarship

 

The Shredder’s Art Studio Scholarship is eligible to past or present Nantucket High School graduates who are pursuing a degree in fine arts including, but not limited to, visual arts, painting, sculpture, ceramics, drawing, film making, photography, fabric arts, graphic design, architecture, jewelry making, printmaking, and/or art therapy. The South Yarmouth Library Association, in collaboration with the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, will award $5000 to one student that aims to further their education and skills in the visual arts. Town of Nantucket Scholarship was established in 1987 for the purpose of providing educational financial aid to deserving town residents. The criteria for awarding these funds shall be acceptance and attendance at an accredited post-secondary educational institution and will be influenced by academic performance and financial need.
